Our Commitee

Sookie Li - President

SookieLi.png

Sookie was born and raised in China, where her passion for food and curiosity about the world led her to New Zealand. There, she earned her Master’s degree in Food Processing Engineering and spent seven years honing her skills in Auckland and Hamilton. Not one to stay in one place for too long, Sookie's curiosity sparked another adventure, and she moved to Australia in 2022. She now works as a Food Innovation Tech Lead at Unilever.

Sookie loves engaging in meaningful conversations and soaking up the welcoming energy at GVYP events, which inspired her to join the committee and contribute to social connections in Shepparton.

When she's not working, Sookie enjoys hiking, experimenting with rock and roll, listening to podcasts, and volunteering in the community. She’s always on the move, making the most of every moment!

Bryony Large - Secretary

Born in the UK, Bryony moved to Australia in 2024 to pursue a career in the arts after completing a BA in Art & Design History and an MA in Curating Contemporary Art. Now working as a Programs Coordinator at the Shepparton Art Museum, Bryony is eager to bring her love and passion for creativity to the Goulburn Valley community!

An organiser at heart, Bryony sees the utmost value in providing opportunities and spaces for young people to engage and connect, particularly within regional localities. She believes that GVYP is a great tool for making friends, sharing new experiences, and, of course, for a good Shep Brewery session!

Always up for an adventure, Bryony aims to explore as much of Victoria as possible - whether that is through long singalong road trips, big hikes, or scenic waterfall swims. She is also a big lover of dancing, and will never say no to getting on a dancefloor!

Ben Brooks - Vice President

Born in the GV and raised on the Family farm, Ben learned the benefits of hard work milking cows and feeding calves, which would prove vital to his success at the local supermarket. He started at 15, was offered a permanent staff position at 18, changed jobs at 22, and is now employed in logistics for a liquid tank manufacturer.

An adventurer at heart, Ben has enjoyed multiple trips both here at home and abroad. But of course, the real adventure was the Friends made along the way, which is what led Ben to join the GVYP in 2024 and lead him to join the committee in 2025, with the hope of being able to foster a community for young people within the GV.

Alessio Rigoli - Director of IT

Born in Shepparton Alessio has a strong passion for IT and digital technologies and leads IT for the committee.

Alessio runs a local technology business and is passionate about working with businesses to create customised solutions to challenging problems. He connected with the GVYP in 2020 and has enjoyed getting to know everyone and helping with the committee.

Outside work Alessio likes to spend time with family and friends and playing table tennis.

Harrison Dipple - Treasurer

Harrison.png

Farmers kid turned banker. I worked on my parents horticulture farm in QLD before joining NAB in 2024 and eventually made the move to Shepparton to become an Agribusiness Banker.

Cash is king. Not the most exciting topic but it's what keeps businesses growing and dreams moving forward. How I see it, I get to play with the Risk v Reward scales to make it a reality.

Hands on guy by nature - I enjoy getting out and exploring VIC, riding motorcycles, mechanics, and gaining some perspective beyond my little nest back in QLD.
